Hello, I am the other half of Dr. D. My name is Francine. We are in the process of preparing for our life when the SHTF. Last year I took canning classes, so that I can learn how to can. I have started learning how to dehydrate various items. Also, if you have pets you need to plan on food for them. One way to do this is to buy the store brand of cat or dog food. This way you will have food for them on-hand. The best thing to do is start a vegetable garden. When it comes to you and your family, start simple and build on each month. Even if you buy the store brand, it is someplace to start.

This site is a work in progress as we get more and more functionally going and as we add content. So bear with us as we build for the future.

This is just a test, to see if the bugs are being worked out.

When we consider life after doom's day, we see only thing...total destruction. But we also must consider what happened if it was more in the line of the Great Depression and not total destruction of society. Imagine if you will a world with no gasoline no ATM the grocery store is closed its shelves empty and everyone is hungry. This may well be the world of tomorrow that is restricted in his last dying breath because he is hungry and had not prepared for tomorrow and chose only to live for today. As we gaze at this bleak future we can see ourselves still alive, healthy, thanking God see another day when so many have passed away about us.

As a student of the past I observed what took place where order and society has broken down and I studied the root causes so my family and I would be prepared if disaster ever came to us and did when the bank had foreclosed on our house. But in way it is one of the best things to happen as it allowed us to cut free from the past and to find our own place where we could live free. Here in the great state of Missouri which is now our home and our sanctuary. Just today Francine was at the farm caring for the dogs and letting them run free something they could never do in Minnesota even in a small farming community. Now I look across the pond and I watched the fish eating on bugs and listen to the wind and played through the trees. This is our sanctuary and we love it dearly so if we can lose at home and gain a home so can you.
